Former Danske Bank Director Brings Extensive Expertise to digitalPR, Focusing on Growth and Business Development.
Jan Aagaard has officially become a Partner and Shareholder at digitalPR, solidifying a five-year business relationship during which he provided invaluable management consulting services to the agency.
Aagaard’s addition to the team in a senior leadership role injects a wealth of expertise in business development into digitalPR. Prior to this, Aagaard served as Business Director and Branch Director at Danske Bank in Silkeborg and Skanderborg, and as a Branch Director at BG Bank in Skanderborg. For the past seven years, he successfully operated Aagaard Management, a consultancy specializing in financial and business development.
Kenneth Nygaard Knudsen, Founder & CEO of digitalPR, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m thrilled to officially welcome Jan on board as a shareholder in the business. Jan’s extensive knowledge, skills, and experience have been invaluable, helping digitalPR navigate and avoid the growth challenges that young businesses like ours often face.”
In his new role, Aagaard will collaborate closely with Knudsen and Morten Sahl Käding, Partner & Senior Communications Advisor, to capitalize on digitalPR’s impressive growth over the last five years.
Knudsen continued, “This new appointment will build upon our already effective and profitable working relationship. With Jan’s expertise and guidance, I’m confident that we can propel digitalPR into an exciting new chapter, delivering even greater value and success to both new and existing clients.”
The Gazelle awards, run by leading Danish financial publication, Dagbladet Børsen, recognize organizations that achieve outstanding and consistent business growth. During the five-year period when Aagaard served as an advisor to digitalPR, the agency received three of these prestigious accolades and expanded its workforce from three to nine full-time employees.
Aagaard commented, “The success of any agency hinges on its ability to attract and retain skilled employees who can provide an effective service to clients. It’s a testament to Kenneth’s leadership and vision that digitalPR has built a strong foundation for growth. This foundation allowed me to focus on optimizing the sales process, enhancing operational efficiency, customer care and recruitment, while maintaining controlled growth.”
As one of the most successful emerging PR and marketing agencies in the Nordics, Aagaard’s plan for digitalPR is to refine and optimize the path he and Knudsen have charted over the last five years. His new appointment will provide dedicated focus on consistent business growth while maintaining the high-quality service that digitalPR’s clients rely on.
Aagaard added, “This is about refining the course that Kenneth and I have already set and defining clear mid- and long-term goals. In my new role, I’m confident that I can help digitalPR go from strength to strength, remaining the top choice for businesses looking to expand into the Nordic countries.”
Knudsen concluded, “It’s about building on our successes. As a business, we want healthy growth in both turnover and earnings, but Jan and I are aligned in our commitment to preserving digitalPR’s core values – providing an unbeatable service to our clients and fostering a supportive, enjoyable and rewarding workplace for our staff.”
